They’ll keep your deposit no matter what

Extremely disappointed with my move-out experience. I was charged $157.50 for a minor scratch on the vinyl flooring that, based on the photos provided, appears consistent with normal wear and tear. I genuinely cannot understand how such a small imperfection warrants a $157.50 charge.

What is most frustrating is the lack of proportionality. These charges do not appear to reflect actual damage beyond normal use, and residents should not feel as though they are being penalized simply for living in… the apartment.

I would strongly encourage anyone considering this property to carefully document the condition of their apartment before moving in and again before moving out. Take photos, keep records, and review every move-out charge carefully.

My experience with the apartment itself was awful. I had concerns about possible mold, the hallways were consistently dirty, and the garage felt both extremely small and unsafe. My balcony was constantly covered in bird droppings, which made it difficult to enjoy the space. On top of that, building access was incredibly inconvenient. Delivery drivers, friends, and family routinely had difficulty getting into the building.

I love the walkability of where we’re located. We can walk to the lake, around the beautiful neighborhood, & to the gorgeous park across the street. On top of that the amenities here are great, especially the rooftop pool which is being used so much this summer.

I do enjoy living here but feel like things have been really changing throughout the years. The residents manners and consideration of others around, the lockers systems breaking for very long amounts of time, the safety and price of the parking garage to simply park where you live, the age/condition of the pool furniture, the stains, the dirty walls/floors only a new repair and paint job could solve, the new leaks and cracks an aging building structure presents. I see the lease going up… unjustified as I don’t see many improvements to the building.
I have not had any issues with the office staff and I do like the maintenance team. They are all helpful when something comes up. I also really enjoy the location and it’s been my reason for staying here.

The package lockers have now been repaired and are fully operational. We have also recently replaced the fire pit and are in the process of planning new pool furniture, which we anticipate installing later this year.
In addition to these visible improvements, we regularly invest in building maintenance, repairs, and infrastructure projects to keep the community operating safely and efficiently. While some of these projects occur behind the scenes, they are an important part of maintaining the property.
