Pier 19 Residences and Marina

Based on my experience, Pier 19 did not provide the value I expected for the rent.

The biggest issues for me were maintenance and quality of life. There were extended periods when the common area and elevator air conditioning wasn’t operating, and elevators were out of service for long periods. The building was often noisy due to party boats on the river and traffic from the nearby drawbridges, making it difficult to sleep.

I frequently noticed the smell of marijuana in common areas,... occasional trash accumulation, ongoing construction, and unattended packages in the package room. I also observed areas where laminate flooring appeared to be bubbling and leaks that I felt should have been addressed more quickly.

Visitor parking is metered, and vehicles may be towed if the parking session expires, so guests should be careful.

Although the property is on the river, I personally did not find the views particularly appealing, and the marina was not operating during my tenancy.

Overall, I felt the pricing was closer to premium Miami neighborhoods, while the overall living experience did not meet those expectations. Others may feel differently, but I would not choose to rent here again. Read More

Not a good experience with management. They were rude and ignored our constant requests for maintenance to come to our unit. Elevators always broken, and they shut water off sometimes without notice. The vents are strange and you can often smell what other people are cooking (or smoking). Wouldn’t recommend living here. Apartment is okay with good views but older appliances and finishes. Definitely not worth the price.

Move here if you enjoy living with roaches and using outdated appliances.

After living at Pier 19 in a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment for a year, my partner and I asked to transfer to a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment due to rising housing costs. Much to our surprise, we were given the keys to a nasty, uninhabitable cockroach ridden unit with a ton of issues. And you would not believe how apathetic new management at Pier 19 was when we asked to terminate the lease after all of their pest... control treatments proved ineffective.

Once again, ALL of Pier 19's pest control treatments were ineffective. We found living roaches from the day we moved into the apartment, right up until we had enough and decided to pack up and leave the nightmare behind for good.

It amazes me how the ownership is charging these prices for units that aren’t updated past 2010 and it’s infested with roaches. You have these subpar amenities downstairs with pretty paint and a few updates nuances and rusted outdated apts upstairs. Save your money and move to a real luxury building don’t let the facade fool you. I’ve lived here 3 years and cannot be happier to move out of luxury roach hotel. I have been living here for 6 months now.
Building is beautiful and well maintained. Management is very professional. Communal areas are clean with the exception of the corridors and parking garage.
Nice gym, nice views, great location.
I am happy here. There are a few problems with the unit but they solve it fast.
Recommended for the not too picky and easy going. I have seen messy buildings around Miami and this one is one of the very best overall.
