Shadetree Apartments

After 4 years at this apartment complex, I am SO GLAD to hightail it out of here! New management group that is here is all over the place. Ignoring phone calls and even you when you go in person because they're too busy with other phone calls or appointments happened to my roommate and I.

- Messy environment: I think the trash company changed at least 3 times after the old management left, not to mention they'd be late on picking up trash too. Dog poop, honestly, is wherever you go; the only... reminder is some flimsy little signs in the dog parks. The dog areas are a joke too, big park and small park; no one follows the rules and just does whatever.
- Safety concerns: Somehow a dog got loose inside my building, escaping out of their apartment during a storm, and snapped at my roommate, people with unleashed dogs, and people speeding through the parking area like it's a highway
- Security concerns: The front doors of buildings USED to be open with your fob, but apparently the fix was to just add new door handles with no extra security.
- Maintenance staff who do not do their jobs properly or at the least they dont like their job: had to make an emergency call at night due to AC leaking and my roommate and I, the maintenance guy showed up and both of us upset and tired swore AT THE SITUATION not at him of course, and he decided that was enough reason to start yelling at us and berating us. The back door had an issue locking, just take off the metal plate only to be replaced upon move-out to pass HUD inspection (calling the same day too that they were just coming in, no 24 hr notice)! My walk-in shower door no longer closed? Oh, turns out it was installed incorrectly anyway; just put tape on it. Crazy !
- "Luxury" living: Bugs in apartments (roaches and ants in my last year of living here, wombo combo), vending machines in the main office, BRAND NEW PARKING SYSTEM FOR YOURSELF AND GUESTS! Where your visitors now have to *PAY BY THE HOUR* if they want to visit. Food trucks on a constant rotation because sure why not spend more money where you are spending thousands to live anyways. Going from Spectrum Wi-Fi and Cable to NO CABLE AND INTERNET SUBWAY WIFI, which is THE WORST, as it constantly goes out, and when you try to call for help troubleshooting or anything, their number doesn't even dial anymore!
- Management: Unprofessional, and truly rude a majority of my time there with this group. They look at you like you are insane and then wonder why you get upset.

Love it here All of the resident events are so much fun. The food trucks that come are simply next level. Just last weekend we had a DJ at the pool. The staff are so kind. They always answer any questions.

Although there are a few “bad apples” who choose to ignore the conditions laid out in the lease agreement that all of us signed before moving in, they are the exception rather than the rule in Shadetree. Most residents are respectful of the property and their neighbors. Several are also kind enough to let me love on their dog when we encounter each other. The office staff are always friendly and responsive. Overall, a very good experience!
