I experienced one of the most dangerous incidents of my life in my apartment unit due to the negligence of this complex

I experienced one of the most dangerous incidents of my life in my apartment unit due to the negligence of this complex. I opened my fridge door and it came off from the hinges, completely separating from the fridge unit, and fell onto the wall.

My right hand sustained some of the impact from the weight of the door falling in mid air and its heavy fall onto the wall. Although maintenance took all appropriate measures to correct the issue promptly, the property manager has consistently… minimized the severity of this incident and my distress by characterizing it as an "inconvenience" and insisting that the fridge appeared to be operating properly prior to my move in. As the fridge units ship out without the doors installed, it is my understanding that it is the complex's responsibility to install the doors onto the fridge. "Operating properly" has nothing to do with the structural integrity. Even going by that phrase, a fridge cannot possibly be "operating properly" if within a few weeks of use, the fridge door falls off (especially considering this is a brand new fridge). This is not a routine maintenance issue or a malfunction. This may have been a structural defect in possibly the fridge door, the bracket, the screws or the whole fridge unit itself OR the door was improperly installed OR both. No matter the cause, I should NEVER have had to experience this dangerous event and it is a horrible breach of duty of care.
This is truly awful considering me or my small dog could have been severely injured or killed.

Highly recommend

Nothing but good things since moving into this complex. It’s a beautiful property with a fantastic location and the amenities really make it feel like home. The property is well-maintained, and the overall atmosphere is great.

A special shoutout to Jessica, who was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She took the time to understand what I was looking for and helped me find the perfect apartment. Her professionalism and friendliness made everything so easy. Highly recommend living… here!

Great location, amazing apartments with even better service-Thanks Kayden!

Love Clearview! The location is fantastic—close to shopping, restaurants, and major roads, making it incredibly convenient for my daily life. The apartments themselves are top-notch, with modern finishes, spacious layouts, and well-maintained amenities. What truly sets this community apart is the customer service. Kayden is simply the best (and I have lived in many complexes!) He is always available to answer any questions and made the process seamless from start to finish. The management and… maintenance teams are just so professional, responsive, and genuinely care about residents. Any questions or requests are handled quickly and courteously. I highly recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking for a comfortable home in an excellent location in St. Pete with outstanding customer service.

Wonderful Staff and Building

Cannot say enough about how beautiful this community is. Between the amenities and the finishes within the apartment homes I feel as if though i’m at an all inclusive resort. The staff that also run this building are incredibly professional. Kayden in the office is so helpful and responsive!!
