Casa Bella on Westshore

I am giving this place one star because 0 is not an option. First off, the assistant manager Dana is extremely unfriendly and just plain rude. She has no regard for the residents and their needs. On most days she doesn't acknowledge them. We have had several issues with our upstairs neighbors being excessively loud at unreasonable hours. We've provided management with written complains and several emails and phone calls, we didn't even get a call back or at least an acknowledgement that they... received it. They have started to rent the place out to anyone they can get probably without any thorough background check because our neighbors who live across from us have about 7 people living in their 2 bedroom apartment. These people are often intoxicated and just plain loud. They pile up trash in the hallways. The hallways stink, there is often trash juice all over the hallways and stairs. They don't get cleaned up! It's so disgusting. There have also been pieces of trash such as napkins and broken plates and glass all over the hallways and stairs. Extremely dangerous for pets and children. There is always cigarette stink and cigarette butts all over the hallways.The pool area is nasty there are toads living in the pool and there is nasty slimy things on the tiles.James and Christina from the office also never get anything done. The only person who tries to help is Mark.
Security guard does not stay on the grounds until he's supposed to. We have had to call at night due to loudness from neighbors and the drugged and intoxicated neighbors from across but he wasn't there so we had to call the police. Housekeeping likes to park their golf cart and chat with the maintenance supervisor. The bathroom was filthy when we moved in. My shower looks disgusting because it needed to be recaulked which never got done. The bottom of my shower door was broken since I moved in, it never got fixed. Our fridge was defective and the maintenance supervisor didn't want to replace it. We called one time because the ac stopped working and it was 85 degrees inside and he didn't want to come and fix it. Eddie is the only one who does his work and is happy to fix things as soon as he is asked. Filthy and the management and office staff are extremely rude once you start to live here. They don't care about helping the residents or providing them with safe and liveable conditions. It's a safety concern due to drug addicts and drunks. Also a health hazard.

Appearances are great. From the outside and even inside the apartments have nice counter tops, stainless steel appliances, nice patios, resort style pools, but that's about where it stops. The four community grills hardly ever have propane, the gym is miniature and outdated, and cell phone reception is horrible regardless of carrier.

But, Worst of all is the TV/Internet provider. Hotwire Communications is the sole provider for the complex. The TV lineup is mediocre (it is provided through... Dish), reception is spotty, the fastest internet available might as well me dial-up and it cuts in and out of service, and on top of all of that, it is FAR more expensive than any other provider in local market.

Casa Bella is a nice, comfortable place to live. But, if you're interested in grilling every once in a while or like speedy, reliable internet at a fair price, look somewhere else. Read More
