WAY Better Options out there
I lived at M South for four years from 2021-2025 in two separate units with two roommates. The only year I considered to be my best experience was in 2021 to the early months when I transferred units in 2022. After that, it was all down hill from there. I had to deal with three different property management companies each with their own faults which I will get to but none worse than the current management company GreyStar. As a multi-billion dollar REIT company, their handling of the transition... was abysmal. We were on the third floor and had holes in our ceiling from the hurricane last year that was there from October 2024 to April 2025. The gates never work and yet they claim they will have them fixed on a weekly basis. They force you to pay rent through an app that has terrible configuration, and you can't split it with a roommate once it is the first of the month. They always try to keep you on the hook for fees and find ways to fine you but never hold themselves accountable for being a "gated community." Also, STAY AWAY FROM REBECCA IN THE LEASING OFFICE! She believes she is gods gift to property management and will downplay everything you say because everything she says is right after proving her wrong MULTIPLE TIMES. She doesn't care about your experience, only her image. She will also never take accountability.
I wish I had better things to say after being a tenant of this property longer than anywhere else I have lived after college but considering my experience more recently than not, I would advise looking elsewhere that are also way more cost effective at newer, nicer properties.
