If you are considering living here, DON’T.
WOW. First, let me say that if you are considering living here, DON’T. This is only our fourth day here, and it has been nothing but stress.
We moved into this townhome expecting an upgrade from our previous apartment, but from day one it has been problem after problem. We were told the home would be cleaned before move-in, but it wasn’t. Whatever, we brushed it off since we planned to clean it ourselves anyway. We assumed that, at the very least, the home had been inspected for basic things... like cleanliness, electrical, and plumbing. Unfortunately, we were wrong.
On move in day, the living room and kitchen lights would not stay on. The breaker in the fuse box repeatedly tripped every 10 to 15 minutes, even though we had not plugged in a single appliance. This was on Friday, and we were able to schedule a maintenance appointment for Monday between 11-1. Monday came, and no one showed up. There was no phone call, no explanation, no follow up, NOTHING.
By the second day, we noticed the downstairs toilet bubbling whenever someone showered upstairs or was using the kitchen sink. At first we tried to convince ourselves it could not be yet another issue in a brand new home. After briefly leaving the house, we returned to find our driveway wet and covered with pieces of toilet paper, clearly coming from a sewage backup.
Within less than four days of moving in, we had already submitted two maintenance requests. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a newly built townhome. We moved here hoping for a better living experience and instead have been met with stress, inconvenience, and disappointment. We lived in our previous apartment for nearly four years without a single major maintenance issue, which makes this situation even more frustrating.
Again, If you are considering moving here, we strongly advise you to reconsider.
