It’s very important that when looking at reviews to look at reviews from most recent. The new management, who started in maybe April, are the worst thing that happened to these apartments. They completely ignore the residents. There is a big mold problem and pest problem due to their neglect. The property is poorly maintained. It use to be lovely, now it is dirty and unsafe. Way more crime now happening. The pool isn’t maintained so when it says “resort style pool” it’s really a pool that isn’t... safe to swim in. Maintenance is slow and incapable of many tasks. Some of the front desk staff is dismissive. Gym and restroom supplies are never stocked. Valet trash is very inconsistent. Managers also removed recycling bins instead of maintaining them. DO NOT RENT HERE! Under this new management, I’ve had the worst experience. The place smells like dog poop and trash because they refuse to maintain trash stations for pet waste- it piles up and onto the floor. They charge for “valet trash” but they don’t pick up trash. There is a rat infestation in the corridors. Management is very manipulative- they blame the rat problem on recycle bins in the front of the apartments just so they don’t have to hire maintenance workers to take the trash out. If... you try to contact them, they will ignore you completely. I’ve had maintenance requests open for over a month and no service was provided. In the gym, the treadmills don’t even work. The water is yellow in the fountain. There is black mold inside the apartments. I like living in the Cortland bt there are certain issues that need to be addressed regarding illicit substance in a non smoking complex. The team and and maintenance staff are great along with a quiet complex.

Updated apartments, helpful staff, safe, easy parking, and most importantly- no roaches! I’ve lived in 2 different apartments in this community and both have been very nice and a great experience. I would definitely recommend living here to someone searching for an apartment in Decatur.

Definitely a place you should consider moving too. The apartments are new and the neighbors are awesome
