Ellington Woods

I lived here for a year in 2022 and wanted to leave a review here as I once again begin my hunt for a new apartment and am reflecting on my time in Ellington Woods.
The whole year I lived in this complex, the police were called to my building a handful of times and made several arrests, the neighbors smoked so much weed my apartment reeked of it, neighbors would get into screaming matches until 3am regularly, an upstairs neighbor flooded their apartment (which gave me some crazy water damage... too) AND to top it all off, there was a hit and run in the apartment below me that left 2 bullet holes in my wall ON THE 2ND FLOOR. When I called maintenice to get the hole patched up, they put putty in it and called it a day and did no other work. DO NOT MOVE HERE!! SPEND THE EXTRA $100 ELSE WERE. Since my wife and i moved here we have had issues, the leasing office has tried their best to help but my experience at the apartment is a nightmare. From the first couple of hours at my new "home" we have had cockroaches walking on us while we slept. A bad odor coming from our unit that we have not been able to pin point, to our new finding mold/mildew on all the window seals and who knows where else. I asked politely to be let of the lease... with no penalties and the answer was pay a fee and your credit score will be affected. I wrote an email expressing my concerns about the health for both my wife and i, being polite and i get an email back saying that, thats no way for me to try and get a work order put in and to talk about the property. I can assure you i was not rude. Now im offended and infuriated as i should have been since day one but i tried giving them the benefit of the doubt. I tried copying the email but was not succesful. I moved in not long ago and so far its been great!! The new manager is really helpful. I had some issues with my unit and the maintenance team came within hours and called after to make sure everything was ok. The office plans resident events monthly. I like the fact that I feel like I'm valued here.

Herbert the property manager is an unprofessional and rude individual! He tried to force me into a ROACH INFESTED apartment and because i complained about bugs not only did he refuse to give me corporate’s number but told me “this wasnt the complex for me”. You’re right CLEAN individuals DO NOT DO BUGS !

It's a small community there's trash everywhere they can never keep it up for a small community I must say again don't have a nice car here it will be vandalized there's trash everywhere
