What This Apartment Offers
This is a mother-in-law suite basement apartment at my home in Iowa City. I am a travel nurse hoping to rent to other travel professionals. I believe the photos... speak for themselves; this is one of the best furnished short-term rentals in Iowa City.
The private walkway leads to the back of the home to your private entrance; no contact has to be made with the unit upstairs. All utilities, including wifi, are included in the rent. The washer and dryer are just outside the interior basement door and shared with the upstairs unit, and there is a private storage closet for your use in the laundry room. On-street parking is free, or an off-street parking spot is available for an additional monthly fee.
The unit has a queen-sized Purple mattress, a down pillow set, and four sets of linen bedding for you to choose from. A Keurig has been provided that can brew up to a 20oz coffee in one go. There are pots, pans, cookware, silverware, dishes, and cups for you to use. There is a 65 " smart TV with Netflix provided and a two-seater reclining sofa. There is an office desk and an ethernet cable that has been ran to the desk for those of you needing direct internet access.
The home backs up to a well-maintained city park with bike trail access through the backyard gate. There are two grocery stores and a 24-hour pharmacy within a 5-minute drive, and the home is less than 10 minutes from Mercy Hospital Iowa City and 12 minutes from The University of Iowa and the VA Hospital.
The minimum initial lease will be three months with an option to transition to a month-to-month after the initial three months. One-half month's rent is required for a security deposit. Absolutely no pets, no exceptions. The upstairs tenants are allergic to both dogs and cats. With this being a Mother-In-Law Suite, I can only host a single tenant due to city regulations. No couples or long-term visitors.
