The Larkspur

Kudos to Larkspur apartments in Victor, ID, their on-site property manager, Brandy, and the management company, Western Property Management of Jackson Hole.

Background:
My wife and I wanted only a temporary base of operations from which to research the area for year-round living options. The Larkspur apartments checked all the boxes.

Here’s what we found:
A beautiful ‘between the mountain ranges’ semi-rural setting
Easy access to nearby skiing, hiking, biking
Easy access (walkable) to top… quality markets, some enjoyable restaurants and ‘town-square’ Summer entertainment
Nearly new building (enough so most of the ‘brand-new’ issues had already been worked out!)
Accessible, friendly on-site property manager (Brandy E.)
Dog Friendly (on-site, well maintained, clean dog park, several convenient ‘dog comfort stations’)
Beautifully designed main entrance lounge complete with free hot beverages 24 x 7
Monthly (seasonal) “meet-and-greet” gatherings where new neighbors could get to know each other over a management supplied outdoor meal, like their 4th of July barbeque party.
Nearly sound-proof construction (rarely heard our neighbors)
Two high-quality propane grills for tenant use
Multiple outdoor seating areas, beautifully designed and decorated
Covered parking
On-site storage rooms
On-site Amazon ‘Locker’ (as Amazon shoppers, we appreciated the security and efficiency of this rare amenity)
On-site 24-hour fully equipped gym, free to tenants
Nearly new ultra-modern appliances (loved the WiFi connected LG appliances, Ecobee HVAC, and Schlage locks)

Special Considerations:
Residents pay a small additional fee for covered parking in numbered spaces displayed on a rearview mirrors tag. On rare but frustrating occasions, our designated parking spot was occupied by another vehicle when we arrived. The ‘people person’ on-site property manager corrected the situation without the need for one-on-one discussions. This was a surprising comfort.
Dogs & dog owners come in all shapes, sizes, and attitudes. This sometimes leads to differences in actions; most folks in apartment environments clean up after their dogs, very, very few don’t. I had a great experience staying here. The studio was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a great stay. The space was well laid out and felt bigger than expected, and the location was really convenient. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a studio apartment.

Larkspur Apartments are very beautiful apartments. I had a studio was very clean very very nice and the view was outstanding. Larkspur is a dog friendly environment. They have a dog wash right in House other amenities are the Jim the Storage right down in the basement. They have places to store your bikes they have walking trails nearby. Everything you would ever need is right there in the apartment complex. The people are lovely. I love the monthly meetings where you get to know each other. Get… to know each other‘s dogs creates a great environment for you and your pet. I had a dog Gretel and she was very much made to feel at home there Brandy as the manager and I can’t see enough about her. She is above and beyond she is ready to do her job and then some she’s always pleasant. I couldn’t be happier living here. From the moment I moved in, everything has exceeded my expectations. The leasing office and maintenance team are professional, responsive, and always go above and beyond to make sure residents feel taken care of. The apartment itself is modern and spacious.
The amenities are kept in great condition. Overall, this has been the best renting experience I’ve ever had. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great place in the Valley.
