Green Meadows Apartments

I have lived at Green Meadows for three years. In my time here I have had my car towed out of the lot unwarranted and my car ultimately was damaged and they did nothing to help me. I have had two pipes burst below concrete in my first floor apartment. Both times they took days to complete the repairs. One of the times they left the water running overnight. This used to be a great community, I've lived at Green Meadows for 4 years and I can already see it slowly going to the gutter. Rent continues to go up while the owner makes changes solely to line their own pockets. The apartments as well as the office workers are nice, along with the neighbors, but do NOT expect to be treated as a person by management.

Rent has gone up a lot for all residents, making Green Meadows definitely not worth the cost, and it looks like they're going to keep… increasing until all of the old residents are priced out.

Frequent maintenance issues that take a while to fix - I didn't have any hot water in my apartment for a full week back in the dead of winter. I was told the issue was being fixed, but had to take ice cold showers for a week until they figured it out.

Constant construction on old roofs, old siding, old units, old parking lot. It's not as if they ever finish either, it's just shoddily complete one project before moving onto the next.

They've cut down most of the mature trees lining the property, making you feel part of a development rather than a community.

There is extreme light pollution from nearby properties, floodlights that kick on at sunset and shine directly into any unit in the back of the lot.

There is a lot of noise as well, where motorcyclists and loudly tuned cars will have no qualms about waking you up at midnight.

There was a stretch of about 8 months where a car sat in the parking lot with a fully flat tire and a giant -this is your final notice before towing- sticker. The solution that management came up with is to ban any vehicles not deemed "street legal."
According to them, this can result in your car being towed with no warning for having expired stickers on your plates.

The office hours have been "temporarily changed" for a few months now, which means that they're not actually open from 9:30 to 5pm. They're open from whenever they feel like showing up to whenever they feel like leaving - with no answering machine available. The maintenance line is very good at picking up, kudos to them, but good luck trying to track down one of the administrative workers.

All in all Green Meadows is a disappointing example of what happens when a landlord gets greedy, and I advise you to steer clear until they figure things out. Read More

Starting Jan 1st 2022, the office is no longer staffed. It is now impossible to to call (you just get voicemail), and if you email, you have to schedule a future appointment to talk to someone. The new towing service steals cars that have parking passes properly displayed. The management doesn't care and won't do anything about it. This was a nice place to live, but now you have to drive to plainfield every other week and pay $200 for your own car. Went to look at an apartment here with my boyfriend and son. We put money down right away. Its just perfect and we hope to get it. Beautiful grounds and atmosphere. Small park, and nice pool area. Clubhouse is gorgeous!
