Ambassador Studio Apartments

Everyone is super nice, landlords and maintenance are super responsive and great to talk to as well. I wish I could've stayed through my entire time in Carbondale because Lisa is so easy to work with compared to any other landlords in town, but I wanted roommates. On top of everything the actual unit was comfortable and a great first apartment, I would highly recommend living there!

I have lived here for three wonderful years now, and I couldn't have asked for a better place to call home. Coming from another country, it meant so much to find a space that was cozy, clean, and perfectly suited for a single student.

The rent is very budget-friendly, and the home itself is simple, warm, and I always keep it well-organized. What truly made the experience special was Lisa, the landlord—she is incredibly kind, helpful, and always made sure everything ran smoothly. I cannot recommend this place enough. I loved my little apartment! It has everything you need. I stayed here for 3 years for my post-bac and 1st year of med school. I did not have a car and found everything to be within walking distance. School, supermarket and the strip of local restaurants are all within 15 mins walking distance. The light bill was never high. Internet was nice, some tenants share wifi for a small charge which I did for a while and it worked but I ended up getting a new... customer promotion to get my own wifi.

The highlight of my stay here was Lisa (the landlord). She is such a beautiful person. She cares about her tenants and is always quick to reply to any messages. If maintenance is taking a while she checks in to let you know she hasn’t forgotten which I always appreciated. If you’re coming to study at SIU, Ambassador Studio is a great place to stay! Very close to campus and Schnucks, very quiet and cozy. The owner, Lisa, is one of the nicest and kindest people I’ve ever met in my life. Comparing to other places my friends stayed, Ambassador Studio was the best choice
