84th Place & Ingleside

I'd like to begin by saying it was a true miracle that I even got this place back in 1992. It's been 23 years now...(I should own it by now!) I've been through 4 owners. The 2 months deposit I placed on it 23 years ago has vanished. I began paying $450 month, I now pay $600/month.
Anyway, the place was never listed...I was coming from a divorce and was living with my now deceased parents. I was apartment hunting one day, and noticed the vacancy from the outside, by just walking past the... bldg. I rang the doorbell, and the landlord let me in, but told me someone had already placed a deposit on the place, but I could have a look at it...I fell in love with it's original architecture and features. Sadly, I went home, and forgot about it until one day, the landlord called me and said the person changed their mind, and I could have the place if i still wanted it! Yayy! Since then, I have painted it, cared for it, have raised a daughter in it, almost died in it, but still nurture it to this day. The faucets and plumbing are old, the electricity needs upgrading, and the hardwood floors need re-finishing, but i love it more with each day. Perhaps one day I can own it. It's been my life.
