The Kenmore on Edgewater

This studio is comparable in size and need of interior updating but the view is incredible. Since I moved in, the management personnel has begun the process of updating apartments and common areas, I have been impressed with the work that they have been doing. The staff are welcoming and possess an Eastern European drive that is clearly demonstrates their work ethic. The staff here work dilligently, efficiently, courtesly, and with compassion that is not common among many local management... companies.

For years I have been very critical of the lack of modern renovation with the vast assortment of Chicago apartments and I am finally glad to see one that is improving without inflating the rent significantly beyond the fair market value as stipulated by the Department of Housing and Urban Development.

I have found the residents that I have come across to be quite friendly and courteous worthy enough to not steal the dollar in quarters that I left yesterday in laundry room while I went to the store to retrieve two additional quarters for the dryer. A few of the residents that I have spoken with have noticed and been impressed by the recent remodeling of the 1st Floor. Without any prompting or disclosure by myself, a few residents have expressed a desire to have the remodeling updates continued throughout the building. Living on the 7th Floor, the only significant that I have noticed is low water pressure. This is most likely due to my unit's elevation and the aging Chicago infrastructure.

I can easily distingush how important it is for the staff that live here to make it a place with residents that they are comfortable living with as well. I know what it is like to work and be available all hours of the night. I have not experienced one instance where I have notifed management with an emergency and that emergency was not handled promptly and expeditantly. It is not often that actual residents rave highly about their management or staff without being staff or management themselves. I honestly state that I am not among this building's management or staff and I am thankful and impressed with the work that they have done.
