Management plays favorites. Will tell you what you want to hear and then not follow through. Gossip about you to other tenants. Other than that, roaches were all in my kitchen, the apartments were never salted when it was icy until much later in the days after people had went to work. The gym is a joke. Location is good; safety is good but the apartment manager has no idea what he's doing. He is unprofessional in so many ways. He will tell you one thing to your face and then do another. He will do something for you and then tell you not to tell anyone else. He plays favorites. He's been there for many many years. He doesn't know how to write notices that are grammatically correct or that make sense. They can't keep maintenance workers because of him. If you have the choice to rent in another place even with a higher price so just go for it, because these are the main issues you will face in you daily life here:
-Packages get lost especially when the delivery guy puts them at the front door.
-Packages are often put in the wrong building, the delivery guy is sometimes not able to see the building number, I don’t know why.
-Even though they said it is nonsmoking buildings, people smoke inside their own apartments and the smell is spread thru... cracks and holes in walls and floors.
-the middle parts of the parking flood when it rains heavily, so you will have to find a place on the sides to avoid issues on your car.
The management office are not able to solve this issue even you claim.

I love living here! It is quiet and the managers respond quickly to any problem I may have! I feel safe at any hour, going to and from my car. There are no loud parties and I love being smoke free!

If you want a clean, rodent- free apartment in Darien, IL, this is not the place for you. I was taken by the view of the apartment I was shown. Upon moving in, maybe it was March, I thought I saw a mouse. I looked for it to run out again, but it did not. I decided that my eyes were playing tricks on me. I continued to live there. The management had inspections and my apartment passed every time. The janitors came whenever I called them, that was the only good thing that happened. The halls... reeked with the smell of food that had been cooked days ago. The carpet in the halls was old, dirty, and had a nasty smell of its own. The children in the building dropped crackers and cookies and things of that nature on the stairs and hallways. Those things stayed in the halls for days before being vacuumed. Then, in March, 2015, about 10 A.M., I was sitting in my apartment at my computer when I saw something black run across the floor. I looked and saw nothing. Again, I assumed it was my eyes. Then I saw it run across the floor again. I stood up and looked and kept quiet and there it was sitting on my living room floor. I ran to my bedroom and called a family member to come get me immediately. Two members of the management team came up with opened sticky traps. It was then that I thought that those buildings already had mice. When my family member came to get me, I left right then. I didn't start my cleaning for the day because I am afraid of mice. I am a crafter and had supplies on my craft table. There were dishes in the sink from breakfast that I was too afraid to clean. I had talked to one of the ladies in management when she came to inspect my apartment and I told her that I didn't know what to do with my things because there was too much in the apartment. Her reply was not to worry because I would, eventually find space, and then she gave me a passing mark/grade on my apartment.
