Michigan East - Campus Property Management

Overall, I don't recommend the Michigan East apartments for the following reasons. Please be aware of them if you decide to sign a lease.

The good


- The rent is reasonable and the apartments are spacious
- The neighborhood is quite and decent

The bad


- The buildings are very old and need constant maintenance. It is very likely to experience leak at some point somewhere.
- You can hear noise coming from other floors and parking all the time
- The landlord is very strict about the... timing of the lease, and you have zero control over it.
- You should let the landlord know if you want to stay for the next year (starting Jul 15) 8 month earlier (around December)!!! If you decide not to stay, they will bring people to your apartment sometimes everyday until they find a new tenet
- If you move out, you should pay for professional cleaning of the carpet, even if it is completely clean (it is in your lease!)
- Besides carpet, they charge you other cleaning fees even if you completely clean the apartment
- The property manager is unfairly controlling and tries to inspect the apartment every opportunity she finds (she doesn't know the tenets indeed understand)

I have been there about 3years, their environment and maintenance service is really good.
Also people who work at there is really kind. Especially the manager Carol was helped us a lot ~

The property is great, the environment is quiet and comfortable, Carol and Masha in 404 E office are very nice.

Good lighting, 1.5 toilet is very convenient. Carol and Masha in 404 E office are very nice. The environment is particularly good, especially the tree in front of the door.
