I lived here for 3 years, great location to east side. Maintenance is good always in on timely manner, office staff is friendly and very helpful. Just seems like the need another person in office to help them there is only 2 so they are very busy all the time. Down side you can't pay with debit/credit card and no text alerts. Would suggest getting up with technology, make it easier for tenants to pay rent.

Not great..
Apartment was spacious and relatively clean when I moved in (more so when I moved out). Got most of my security deposit back. Management is a major downside. They hardly ever return phone calls so communication is difficult. Maintenance is good with small things, but less so with larger ones. Property manager seems to favor an "ignore it and it will go away" approach.

Not great..
Apartment is spacious with lots of closet space. Apartment was relatively clean when I moved in. Got most of my security deposit back. Management is a big downside. They're not so good at calling tenants back when you leave a message so communication can be rather difficult. Maintenance is good about small things, but not so good with larger issues. Property manager seems to favor a "ignore it and it will go away" approach.

Crossing at Pete Ellis
I've lived at the Crossing for 3 years. I would say that these apartments are the best package deal for a typical graduate students.
Pros: Location - right by Target and less than a 10 minute drive or 15 minute bike ride to IU Storage - two indoor storage closets and walk-in bedroom closet Space - decently sized living room and bedroom Patio - first floor apartments have an private, fenced patio. Perfect for graduate students with dogs. The patio has a storage unit as well Price - one of the... cheapest one bedrooms considering the perks, and management pays for water, trash, and sewer
Cons Washer/dryer - no in-unit washer and dryer, but there is a laundromat available in the complex. I haven't found it to be particularly busy Kitchen size - I could use more counter space and storage. However, my fiance and I love to cook...so maybe its not a problem for other people Thin walls - I can hear my upstairs neighbor's tv at night, and the sound of people walking up the stairs is really loud Old appliances/fixtures - this is an old apartment complex. They do not really have upscale appliances or fixtures.
Summary: I'd recommend this place to anyone who is interested in the most space for the least price. Also, Jenny in the office is an absolute doll. =)
