Very Disappointed
I was looking to move from Elkhart to the Mishawaka/Granger area to be closer to my job. I was very interested in Grandview as most people are. I have not had one good experience since making the decision to live there. Getting in to the the apartments overall took at least 10 phone calls and multiple emails, very very rarely getting a response. I was able to tour the unit I was moving into about a week before moving and was told it would be completely deep cleaned and all cuts, rips, tears,... holes, etc. would be repaired. I was very disappointed to see nothing had been cleaned or replaced. The day of move in, I had an appointment set to sign my lease with Alonte, who proceeded to walk out of the building with other individuals at the time of my meeting. The blonde woman who got the paperwork was very disrespectful. I was given three keys and two mailbox keys (I live with two other individuals) and requested another mailbox key that same day due to paperwork stating we have 3 keys and still have no received one. While moving things in the apartment we noticed there was a tear in the carpet near the transition piece into the kitchen, the master bathroom ceiling is peeling, the cabinets were covered in hair from the previous residents, the transition piece to the laundry was not attached, there were holes in two doors, and overall the apartment was completely filthy. We’ve attempted to speak with not only Alonte in the leasing office but also Stacey, a manager (who was very disrespectful as well), we still have no received any work done to our unit. We’ve been called three different times about things being fixed in our apartment only to get home and see nothing has been done. There’s also been issues with packages. We were advised to sign up for the “Luxer One” to have our packages put in a locker until we arrive to retrieve them. Our packages are rarely put in the locker and instead left out for us to dig through other’s packages. Management and the state of our apartment when we moved in have made our decision to not re-lease here again very clear. I would not recommend this complex for any individual.
