Cons Outweighing the Pros
Pros: spacious two bedroom apartment with high vaulted ceilings, and updated appliances. Rent is not as expensive as other apartments in surroundings areas and you are only responsible for electricity.
However, with the great pros a couple of cons that I have experienced living here in almost two years is enough to make me look elsewhere. The biggest one is putting in pest control requests and them not being answered. I’m not used to that with renting. Any other place I’ve rented would send... them out and/or even have pest control is scheduled. Out of 4-5 requests in almost two years, only one has been acknowledged. Then when I send an email to the property manager about it, she doesn’t respond. Lack of communication is a no go.
I asked for my toilet seat my guest bathroom in January 2025 to be replaced and was told initially that it was going to be handled. I sent a text to the property manager. Crickets. Then when there was an issue with the garbage disposal and shower head in master bathroom, I asked about the toilet seat for the third time, at that time.
Maintenance comes out and takes care of shower head and garbage disposal. He attempts to replace toilet seat and says the one he brought doesn’t fit. He didn’t say he would be coming back or any next steps. I email property manager about it and she says she will come by and take care of it. Well she never did. Again lack of communication.
Rent is being paid on time every single month but I’m being ignored. It’s disappointing as I actually enjoy my place but I don’t enjoy not being heard. I also spray on my own since I can’t get pest control. Prior to signing my lease, I was told to let it be known about pest control requests as opposed to waiting. I guess that only applies to things such as mice. Thank God that’s not the issue. Regardless, I don’t want to deal with spiders, centipedes, crickets and other unknown bugs!!!!
