I wouldn't do it....
I have lived in the apartments for over 14 years, and they refuse to do any upgrades on my particular apartment unless I move out. They will not give me a new remodeled apartment. I've had the same carpet since I moved in, and it had been there even before I moved in. My air ducts in my unit have not been cleaned in the 14 years that I've been there
