Unprofessional and Greedy Management
"Incredibly frustrating experience with the management office during my early move-out. Despite being proactive and calling/visiting multiple times to ask for formal termination procedures, the office failed to provide any written guidance.
I moved out entirely by 02/28 and arrived at the office that same day with a formal vacation notice and the 2-month rent payment required by Florida law. However, they rejected the payment solely because it was in cash, claiming they needed a cashier’s... check—a detail never clarified in our previous calls. Since it was a Saturday and banks were closed, it was impossible to get a cashier’s check until Monday.
Now, despite having an email from them acknowledging I was there on time with the funds, they are attempting to charge me for an extra month of rent plus three additional days. Charging beyond the 2-month statutory cap in Florida after I have already vacated is unacceptable. Future renters: be wary of the lack of clear communication and the 'gotcha' tactics used during move-out."
