Bayou Shadows Apartment Homes

I lived at BS for 2 years and I have nothing negative to say about them. The maintenance is a 10 star which is unusual.They respond quickly and do an excellent job. Most are well known by the residents. The front office is very professional and friendly. There is NO noise, NO trouble of any kind. I would highly recommend living here.

not sure why there isn’t any reviews about the roach problem but our apartment is infested with roaches. we have complained and they sprayed, 2 weeks later they’re back. there’s roaches literally everywhere. in the bed, in the shower, crawling on the walls, roach eggs. i don’t think there is a better reason to not live here. nothing they have done has fixed the problem they seem to not care

I don't mind living in this apartment complex, however, the staff is quite unprofessional. I would not recommend my friends to live here due to the staff and other residents who live here. The only pros are the moderate rent prices and location. Maintenance here is subpar, but at least the maintenance staff is friendly, unlike the office staff. I also was fully lied to about the price of rent, as I was told they were running a special at my move in time; however, I was never granted any… discount on rent as they promised and no further mention of this special was heard past our initial phone call. These apartments are in dire need of remodeling. The carpet is very old and smells like a wet dog. The bathtubs are scratched and embedded with mold that straight Clorox won't put a dent in. There is rice painted on the kitchen shelves - they did not bother to wipe off the shelves before applying the last coat of paint. The dishwasher is worthless. There is no garbage disposal in my unit. You can clearly hear the neighbors use the bathroom. When you look before renting, the AC is on very… cold so you won't notice the nasty smells that make themselves present when you set the unit to a reasonable temperature.
