The Legacy at Lake Charles

Four years ago, Legacy would have arguably been one of the best properties in town. Today, not even a little bit. Do your due diligence. Ask to see the ACTUAL unit you’ll be moving into. Miscommunication is unfathomable here. Save yourself some grief and move elsewhere! I’ve been here just three months and the problems have been nonstop.

Been living at Legacy 1.5 years during that time frame, management has been very responsive to my needs. At one point, I was going to leave for lower pricing options however given property landscaping, amenities, and quick responses from the leadership team, I decided to stay. Other complexes charge extremely less given the same quality. The staff (Michael then) would have you believe that it’s Hawthornes amenities that charges 1b1b units like mine so much, even given the fact the family units are not much higher. This is the worst complex for Mail if you’ve ever used the Luxer system for reference…but that’s saying something since it’s partially the rude staff and carriers fault for losing and misplacing your parcels. The actual apartment itself is nice, but multiple amenities including our AC has gone out and its been 2 months and they still have not fixed it. We’ve been SLIGHTLY accommodated but it seems like we’ve been forgotten and it’s too hot to even sleep in our rooms.

I’ve lived here a few months now and this experience has been leaps and bounds better than some prior. The staff has been helpful and the property is beautiful.
