Sycamore Point Apartment Homes

During my almost two years at this apartment complex, I had a great experience. During the touring and move-in process, I was assisted a great deal and helped throughout the entire process. Maintenance requests were handled quickly, appropriately, and with care. The commute to base is very convenient, about six to ten minutes to the main gate or Gate 2 at the back entrance. The staff was very helpful during my move-out process and assisted me a great deal. I recommend these apartments to anyone,... and I would rent here again if I ever come back. It’s a nice neighborhood, my neighbors were quiet, and the property has some nice amenities. The only downside I can mention is that I could hear my neighbors moving, closing doors, and watching TV through the walls in the 2 bed, 1.5 bath apartment. I lived here for about two years and during my stay here I had MULTIPLE issues with maintenance coming into the house unannounced, spraying for bugs while my pet was in the house- which ended up in a vet visit due to him becoming sick. When I left the building, not only did I not get my deposit back due to carpet cleaning (which they are required to do regardless), but then I had to OWE additional money which went to collection because they never notified me causing a drop in my credit score.... After contacting the property inquiring about this, they refused to send me pictures of the so called damages they claimed I had and told me to file a claim with the collection company instead. This place engages in grossly unfair business practices with Soldiers. When you sign the lease, they tell you that you have to give them 30 days notice, but when you show up to give them notice, they say, "No, no, no. You have to tell us 30 days from the first of the month, or you have to pay for the whole month that you vacate, even if you leave in the middle of the month." I have to pay for 18 days that I am not living in the house even though I gave them more than 30 days notice.
