As is typical with many colonial era homes, stairways can be narrow and steep and floors slope. The home has 6 levels.
Rockmere Inn showcases the creativity of local builders, as the unique home traverses the rock ledge that connects Washington St to Mechanic St. The home features an entertainer’s dining room with a table that easily accommodates 12, a workspace, a comfortable seating area overlooking the garden, a coat closet, laundry, and a bar with beverage refrigerator hidden behind antique pumpkin pine doors. Central to the dining room is an original, now decorative, fireplace and the 300-year-old barn door that leads to the gourmet kitchen, which provides seating for 8 and another gorgeous view of the private patio and garden. The massive living room is decorated with an international traveler’s flair and easily accommodates 14 with various conversation spaces sprinkled around the room. Amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, 3 large-screen smart TVs, a gourmet kitchen, 2 bars with beverage refrigerators, and a washer and dryer. Each property features a starter set of supplies, including toilet paper, paper towels, dish detergent, and hand soap. The beds are fully made and ready for your arrival with freshly laundered linens, and a set of towels for each registered guest is included.
