Lakeview Gardens

Lakeview Gardens was an extremely frustrating place to deal with because of the poor management and lack of professionalism from the office staff. Honestly, it is the WORST management that I have ever experienced.

The office is rarely open, and it often feels like they make up their own hours. In practice, it seems to be open somewhere around 11 AM to 4 PM only a few days a week, and even then, the door is often locked while staff are inside. That makes it incredibly difficult for residents to... get help when they actually need it.

Communication from Kevin, the manager, is nonexistent. Getting a response, an update, or any real follow-through is nearly impossible.

On top of that, Leeloo was consistently rude, condescending, and dismissive, which made an already bad experience even worse.

Management should be accessible, responsive, and respectful to residents. That was absolutely not my experience at Lakeview Gardens.

Living here has gone completely downhill. Since FirstService took over, it’s been clear they have no clue how to manage an apartment community. I’d never even heard of them before, and now I see why; this seems like a one-off property for them, and they are completely out of their depth.

They’ve managed to lose or terminate every competent staff member and replaced them with people who seem to have no training or knowledge of how to run a residential property. The only bright spot is the... seasoned maintenance team, but even they can only do their jobs if the property manager decides he likes you.

Speaking of the manager: unresponsive, unprofessional, and apparently sets his own hours. Good luck getting a call or email returned. There’s no communication from the office anymore! No updates, no notices about snow removal, winter prep, or anything that would make you feel like someone’s managing the place. It’s radio silence.

There are zero amenities here. None. But that hasn’t stopped them from hiking the rent while people move out in droves. They are nowhere near the level of the nicer, updated communities nearby, but they keep raising prices like they’re luxury apartments. Spoiler: they’re not.

It is a type of place that you are disrespected and yelled at if you try to resolve things. They increase rent and add fees all over for nothing. They will tow you car if you are not home and you will have to pay $200 to get it back
