Rosemary Lake Apartments

Landlord is rude and the apartments are run down.

This was my first time renting an apartment (same with my boyfriend) and I like it for a first apartment. We have a one bedroom on the basement level. It's a little out of date (interior design major speaking, so I'm a bit picky) but overall, we both like it. Great neighborhood, laundry in the building, plenty of parking for tenants and guests, dishwasher, large living room, two closets in the bedroom. The things that I would reconsider by living in this apartment when looking for the next would… be: more counter space in the kitchen. We're not big cookers, however with a dish rack, microwave, and a foreman grill, plus the dishes, it gets messy quickly. Second is living on the basement level. Sunniest day and the apartment is dark even with the large window. I need my sunshine! Other than those two things, I have really enjoyed my time here. Out of all the 1 bed/1 bath apartments I looked at in Needham up through Allston, this apartment had the largest square footage and the lowest monthly rent. That, in combination with it's quiet location and only having 4 apartments in my building, made it the perfect choice for me. It is also conveniently located near the Needham Free Public Library (5 min walk); a Sudbury Farms grocery store (5 min walk); a Dunkin' Donuts, Subway and Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt (7 min walk); the Needham Heights… commuter rail stop (10 min walk); the Highland Ave @ Rosemary St #59 bus stop (5 min walk); and Needham High School (10 min walk). I think because I'm from Florida; however, this place looks really old and needs attention. I expected more from an expensive property located in an expensive town. Staff seemed pretty nonchalant like nothing mattered.
