great maintenance, amazing property management staff, very kind and welcoming. apartments are exactly what you need and its very convenient. super clean and still has the historical charm. def a hidden gem

Not worth it

Thin walls, compliments never get answered, the people here have no disregard at all and leave trash everywhere and are loud.

Rent elsewhere

The manager is awful, and clearly doesn’t know how to run a building. A lot of residents are unhappy with the direction things are going . This place is far from a luxury rental.

The Emerson Experience

It is a delight for me to write a review for Emerson Shoe Loft Apartments. As a young renter safety and reliability are in high demand. Emerson offers both with newly renovated apartments (2009), updated utilities, new apliances, and a well kept interior and exterior. The covered parking lot is an optional ammenity of which I will take full advantage of during the upcoming snowy winter. Brrrr! I frequent the pool and gym too and although they are on the small side they're both welcome stress… relievers from the long days working in Boston. The staff are friendly as well as my neighbors. And finally, for all the fellow pet owners reading this, ESL is pet friendlywith bags and trash cans available all around the grounds. Four people on the floor I live on have dogs and they all get along! I am happy to give a high recomendation to Emerson Shoe Lofts.

thin walls

you can hear everything and smell everything. My advice is live on the top floor on an end unit. I literally felt like my lungs filled with smoke from one neighbor smokng next door, even though you aren't supposed to smoke there. My clothes stunk like cigarettes from the smell in the closet. You can hear full conversations and more through the walls.
