Gaslight Village Apartments

They are so unprofessional I wanted to rent a place there went to see the place everything was fine it’s been 2 months and still have not received a call back from them samira always answers takes a message and you will never hear from them it’s ridiculous don’t waste your time

Gaslight is a very peaceful spacious apartment. You get a lot for your buck, with all the amenities such as the pool and the club house. Gaslight village is in a great location walking distance from many stores and many restaurants. Also only a few miles from the train station and local bus to get to the train. I feel safe and comfortable at gaslight

I have lived at Gass Light for 3 years now. Everything about this place is great. It is very close to the city (about a 30 min ride). However still far enough away that r is quiet. The grounds are great off a busey main road but you would never know. Each apartment is very large and welcoming. The amenities are great with tennis courts, pool, playground, and plenty of off street parking. Wonderfully place to live and would highly recommend to anyone.

I live in a 3 brd/2 bath. Brd's are spacious as well as the livingroom/dining room. The 3rd bedroom is smaller but still comfortable and access to the balcony that can fit two chairs and table on, but no grills allowed. Balcony's are a bit shabby as the builds are old. Lots of closets and kitchen has several cabinets as well as a pantry. Laundry is in each building 1st floor, card operated. Cards can only be loaded to $40.00 in the club house that has specified hours. Pricing is $1.75 each… load for washer or dryer. Walking distance to restaurants, whole foods, CVS, Petco, and spa's. Walking distance to SSH and a bus line. However, the bus doesn't run that often from what i see. Usually pretty quiet and pet friendly for a fee with 2 cats or a dog (25 or under) and cat. All utilities included except electric. Cooking and heat is gas which is in rental price. No central AC. Two wall units, master bedroom and living room. Otherwise you can put in window AC units. Maintenance can be a bit of a bother as the maint. guys always come in with a sense of not wanting to be there. At least in my experience. The jobs does get done though. Clubs house has Olympic size pool that is kept clean with life guard only open certain hours of the day, pool table, exercise room (equipment not state of art but in good shape and some variety), bathrooms, shower area, sauna, table tennis and computer center. There is a BBQ picnic area, which is a bit beat up but usable. A new play set was installed for kids and there is a tennis court. Good amount of parking for visitors, but only one assigned parking spot per unit. Fall decorations go up in October, which is a nice touch. But the light on the drive in during Winter is very warming to see. Several community activities each month such as game board night or trip to Foxwoods (you have to reserve/pay $25.00). Office staff, I find to be helpful. The only exit and entrance is off a major route, so it can be difficult getting in and out. Everyone Is different and all places have pros/cons, but I love my place and think Gaslight Village is worth a look. Read More
