My experience with Latitude 49 at Sage Creek
(don't know if these issues spread over all Deveraux locations or just the latitude 49)
Do you like what they offer, the deals and discounts? Wow, does it feels nice when u are welcomed and showered with care. Well you're being lured. The moment you sign the lease, you're no longer special. You're under their control and they will milk you until you're dry or you leave.
The reality is different. The halls and elevator constantly smell like dog pee or vomit, and no one cares enough to clean it... properly, even after getting notified. The noise from neighbors is ignored, and thats a common issue here. Maintenance does sloppy, unprofessional work. Stuff like mounting appliances completely crooked, or marking the job as done without it being completed, or i just got unlucky, either way does that change the point? The gym equipment is already breaking down, with loose bolts who lost their nuts and are "hanging on for dear life," which is a safety concern. (not for management, its safe in their opinion) The pool is always too crowded—either with loud kids that wont let u enjoy peacefully or a groups of splashing "adults" that make it feel unsafe to bring your own kids. You'll wish they would have added more parking instead of that pool.
And speaking of parking, even if you pay for a spot, anyone can take it. Is that an issue? No. For you, maybe, but not for anyone else. If u want more than one vehicle well u got another payed option: the "flex parking". It's a bunch a spot anyone can park in as long as they pay the monthly payment. Well issue is, they have more people paying than there are spots, so basically, you pay and u might be lucky to get a spot. Luck because if come home after 9 pm all the spot are full, and I mean all. So yeah go park on the street and yeah you will get an email if u forget a payment. Most likely some don't pay and still store/park their vehicle filling it up for others. And yea its your issue so deal with it yourself. The management's only goal is to make money, not to provide a good place to live.
The ONLY thing that's great is the location, which is the ONLY reason that makes it reasonable to pay those prices. If location is not what matters for you, then you wont get the value back for whatever you pay. The building's quality is cheap and not what's expected at this level. You are not paying for a good experience or service. And if you're okay with being treated this way, then go ahead. Otherwise, stay away.
