The Harriet Apartments

Do not move to the harriet apartments. On July 2nd 2026 the air conditioner went off in the entire building around 2pm. It was over 100 degrees outside. We were told they would get a contractor to fix the air. We didn't get any more notices that day. They didn't give us anything to keep us cool. They went about their business and enjoy their holiday. The air they later told me came back on July 5th. However I did not have air until July 7th. All that time the entire building… had no way to stay cool while the management left us hanging. I personally had to leave for a couple of days so I dont pass out from the heat. Whenever the air would go out management would just tell us reset the breaker.

Now in my situation on July 6th I came back and I had no air. I luckily found one staff that was working and I managed to get a portal air conditioner which kept turning off my power. Mind you I did put a maintenance request in for July 3rd but they could careless because they enjoyed their holiday. Now problems are not only during summer time. Problems happens during winter too.

I have been here for two winters and was freezing with both. This building have poor insulation. All the windows have gusts of air that comes through during the winter. The heat that we have does nothing to heat up the apartment. I have to try to wrap myself in my blanket because it is freezing in my apartment during the winter. For this winter I finally found relief because of a space heater which the management didn't provide. Now what the management did do. Poorly put up plastic on the windows that did nothing. I asked them if they can put it up correctly and they didn't bother to try again and decided to let me freeze.

This isnt the only problems with this management and maintenance. But just some of the problems that I strongly recommend no one to move here. You will not be happy here. Read More
