DON’T RENT HERE
An active leak from the upstairs tenant caused my bathroom ceiling to crack, sag, and begin to fall. When maintenance finally came, the worker simply tightened a pipe and told me, “it’s ok, it’ll dry — you’re moving out soon anyway.” The leak continued. I placed two additional emergency maintenance calls because water was still dripping audibly, and those calls were ignored.
When I contacted the office, they dismissed the situation entirely, saying this “happens all the time.” Maintenance... eventually returned only to rip out the collapsing vent and drop off a dehumidifier. My apartment is now filled with chemical fumes, and the ceiling is still visibly cracked, wet, and moving — a clear safety hazard. I asked for the ceiling to be repaired immediately, and they refused, positioning it as “doing me a favor” by not fixing it before I move out because it would be “messy.”
My apartment is not safe to live in due to the structural hazard and the fumes. This is especially dangerous for my son, who has asthma. The office staff told me other tenants “were fine staying in their apartment” when this happened to them, as if that excuses the risk.
I offered to move out immediately if they refunded the remainder of my rent, since we cannot safely stay here. They refused.
Do not rent here. The price is not worth the health risks, the negligence, or the blatant unprofessionalism.
