Feels like home! Location, management, and units are 100/10
I've lived at Glen Place for about two years now, and will never consider moving to another apartment building before getting a house. As far as apartments go, I feel like I hit the lottery. The apartment manager Katie is so sweet and amazing, she goes out of her way to say hi and ask about your day for not just me, but any tenant she sees throughout her day. She's one of those people that you meet and instantly makes you feel like you're already friends. I love that I rent from someone who is a... good person and has my back! I love my apartment unit, too. It has everything I need, and really feels like home after living here for some time. It's pet friendly too, so having my pets with me makes it feel even homier. The only thing I wish Glen Place had more of is off street parking in their parking lot, but the fact that there is off street parking at all is more than some other apartments can say. There also is no elevator in the building, but if you're looking for an excuse to get extra steps/stairs in then it's a perfect built-in exercise. As for the location, it's in the middle of anywhere you may need to go in Duluth. I rarely have to drive over 10-15 minutes for anything I could possibly need. The mall, various hiking trails, canal park, Lake Superior, West Duluth, East Duluth, Hermantown, Superior, they are all within a 15 minute or less drive. And the lake view! Hard to beat that, it never gets old watching the sunrise over the Aerial Lift Bridge! I really do highly recommend these apartments. I moved in two years ago all by myself into a studio unit, and now I am in a two bedroom unit with my pets and a fiance. My best friend's little sister even moved in a floor below me after I recommended it for a first time apartment. This apartment has become part of my story, and I wouldn't have it any other way! It was a perfect apartment to start out in, and Katie helped me through every step of the process.
