Good Location, But Management Failures and Neglect Are Unacceptable
I regret to say I cannot recommend this apartment building to anyone who values responsiveness, safety, and basic quality of life. While the location near public transit is excellent and the resident community is genuinely friendly, these positives are completely overshadowed by severe and persistent management failures that affect daily living.
The critical problems:
Chronic Elevator & Gate Failures: The elevator is frequently out of service. More critically, the back parking gate has been... broken for over three months. Management has not fixed this, allowing non-residents to park for free in our paid spots and compromising building security. When you can't find a spot, management is unavailable to assist with towing or confirm if residents will be reimbursed for parking elsewhere.
Trash Crisis Caused by Parking Chaos: The broken gate has created a domino effect. Non-resident cars now routinely block access to the dumpster and recycling area. As a result, trash and recycling are rarely picked up on schedule. The bins are constantly overflowing, creating unsanitary conditions and attracting pests. Management is aware but has taken no effective action.
Unresponsive & Confusing Management: Communication is a nightmare. Published office hours are contradictory, and the call line is ineffective. It took over a week to get a response on a basic concern. They are consistently unavailable for urgent issues, leaving residents to deal with parking chaos, property damage, overflowing trash, and stolen packages on their own.
Hazardous & Damaging Parking Lot: The parking layout is dangerously narrow in the back, creating a pinch point between parked cars and a wall. As a direct result, cars parked there are frequently scraped and damaged. Multiple vehicles show visible evidence of hits.
Exploitive Fee Increases: The new payment portal has doubled its "convenience fee" for credit/debit card payments from $5 to $10 per transaction. For residents who budget by paying in increments, this now adds a $20 monthly surcharge just to pay rent. It feels like a penalty for using their own system.
In summary: The social atmosphere and transit access are not worth the constant stress over security, parking, property damage, overflowing trash, and the complete lack of communication. This building is fundamentally poorly managed. Until there is a complete overhaul in responsiveness and a serious investment in repairs and security, look elsewhere. I certainly will be.
