Golfview Crossing Apartments

Excellent location, quiet with good neighbors. Reasonable rent with well maintained units with garage and storage units. good management! It’s an 9 out of 10 for me.

Used to be a great place to live; always safe, secure, and quiet with respectable tenants. Management changed September of 2018 and is no longer on-site, ever since the manager is hard to get a hold of and does not return calls. The building is supposed to be "secure" with locking front and back doors, the front door has been broken for almost two months and fixing it is apparently not a priority. New tenants that have moved in smoke weed and are disrespectful/noisy. With the new tenants... there are large numbers of visitors coming at odd hours and hanging around the back of the buildings, most times late at night only adding to security concerns. Also maintenance is non existent and nothing gets repaired, they now come from La Crosse almost an hour away! If there is a problem in the unit good luck getting it fixed, you'd be better off doing it yourself. They just put new windows in last year, middle of winter, talk about a mess. No one knew who was coming or going and when their unit would be entered, some units were left half finished for weeks. The long term tenants of 5-15 years have started to move out and find other apartments due to the sharp decline in the quality of tenants, management, and security concerns. Good overall apartment/management despite it is a bit old. Even though we moved in and it wasn't perfectly clean they decreased the deposit for inadequate cleaning when we moved out which I'm not happy about but but general Winona apartment companies seem to reduce/withhold deposits
