If you’re absolutely desperate for an apartment, then this place might work. Otherwise, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

I lived here for 13 months, and it was one issue after another. The area has frequent shootings, theft, and vandalism. Every trip to the laundry room, I’d hear tenants talking about their cars being broken into or stolen. The laundry facility is large, but only about half the machines work. Check them before using them—you might open one and have water pour out.

The... pool is closed more often than it’s open, usually for “cleaning” or “vandalism,” so don’t expect to use that amenity.

Maintenance was my biggest frustration. My apartment went over a week without heat this winter, and I was given one space heater. They even closed my maintenance request before fixing the problem, and I had to go to the office to have it reopened. That happened more than once.

Move-in was no better. My stove wasn’t connected, my oven didn’t work for a week, and it took three requests to get it fixed. I also moved into a unit with a dirty stove, broken blinds, cut carpet, peeling vinyl floors, and a recurring wasp nest that wasn’t addressed until my third request.

Getting a mailbox key took months because the office wouldn’t help with the ongoing issues at the Troost Post Office. They also wouldn’t help when an Amazon package was mistakenly placed in my mailbox.

One positive was the addition of parking lot security monitors, which are honestly needed considering how often police were at the property.

To top it off, they kept almost my entire $785 security deposit and refunded me just $43.

Overall, this complex failed to deliver on even the basics. Poor maintenance, safety concerns, and lack of communication made this an experience I wouldn’t recommend. Unless you truly have no other options, keep looking. Read More

I moved in around August, which was weeks after my move in date and had to switch into a different approved unit because the one promised to me wasn’t done (neither was the one I was moved into). Have multiple issues with staffing, from attitude, changing the story, lack of problem solving, to zero accountability across the board. Has had some many employees in and out that door so fast you can’t even keep them straight. Funny money business as well. Charging fees per month that are not in the... lease agreement. Poor upkeep of complex, lazy upgrades. Just this morning 15 car windows were busted into from what I know, and there could be more across the complex. Mine was busted along with a couple others a couple days prior. No sense of security here or urgency to fix the problem. Read More
