Plaza Point Apartments

I love the location however, the New Owner/s have no idea on how to keep up the building. The rent is equal to what is being asked for in this area but, the level of upkeep is another story. Recently the 24hr Doorman amenity changed and is no longer 24hr (security was my #1 factor in my decision to lease). Maintenance department has been reduced to 1. Old buildings are very charming but they need to be maintained in/out. Owning a building is more than just collecting rent.

Location, apartment size, quirkiness is fantastic. Neighbors, maintenance are fantastic. Doormen/security were fantastic until upper management made the bad decision to eliminate them on a Monday afternoon - without even giving the courtesy to tell them to their face. Upper management/investors that took over the buinsess side here are extremely unprofessional.

A great building and reasonable rent to live so close to Loose Park, Plaza shopping and Plaza restaurants. The building provides a secure parking space, on site handyman and 24-hour doormen. Felt very safe, secure property. Would recommend this property to anyone interested.

This is fabulous apartment community perfectly located just steps away from Country Club Plaza. Unlike the colossal high-rises nearby this building boast a smaller number of units adding to its charm. A neighborly atmosphere that's irresistible. The 24/7 doorman brings a touch of nostalgia to the building. The building may not be the latest and greatest lke it's flashy plaza counterparts but that's precisely why prices are so irresistible. The dedicated manager goes above and beyond always... right to answer any questions and provide superb assistance. I stayed at Plaza Point for 4 months and I had to move to a different city. The apartments are spacious and the rent is affordable for Plaza. However, when i broke the lease, I was asked to pay one month's rent and my security deposit was retained. This was not mentioned in the rental agreement. I paid the rent and security deposit and left. 3 months later, I got a call from a collection agency asking that I owe Devinki real estate $2,500 for breaking the lease with plaza point.
I never... received any documentation from anyone. I was not told about this amount by my landlord when I was breaking the lease nor was this mentioned on the rental agreement. I asked for documentation about this from Plaza Point, they said they don't have it. And I don't know why would Devinki real estate charge me without sending me a notice. I had no visibility with them. I should ideally receive any such notice from my apartment. The collection agency threatened me to put that on my credit history. It is just too much money and things are suspicious and untold to the renter. I would suggest to choose a different apartment but not this. Read More
