Bait-and-switch apartment - beware

I attempted to rent an apartment from Flats at Wildwood in Raytown MO. They performed a bait-and-switch, where the apartment they showed me was not at all like the apartment they tried to rent me. Cabinets and doors were broken, vents were hanging off of the wall, there was water damage in the bathroom cabinet and floor. Burn marks on the ceiling, broken windows, debris and broken glass on the patio. A dead bat in the living room.

When they didn't fix those things, I returned the keys on… 6/6/22, and they told me it would take 30 days (not business days) to receive a refund. Since then, they have not responded to any of my calls or emails. It's been more than 30 business days now, and almost two months, and they still won't give me my money back.

I've been here almost 9 years I've seen and experienced and seen the highs and lows. For the most part my relationships with the management has been good and respectful. Much is given as is received. Pandemic make it hard for new owners however with God's Grace and Mercy we will get a chance to form a more perfect union. Not in our time, but God's time

Do not live here

My apartment looks nothing like the pictures that are posted. It’s outdated and maintenance is slow to fix stuff. In my experience the ladies in the office seem overwhelmed. They talk to people crazy and are not helpful. They also seem to get the accounts of their residents mixed up. They have cameras in the office but when my car was broken into they didn’t care. I’m not even sure if the cameras work or if they were just being lazy.
