These apartments are located at the edge of Downtown St. Joe, and pretty close to the river walk. The local area is not bad in terms of the clientele and nearby people. The units themselves are quite nice with updated in unit laundry machines, dishwasher, stove, microwave, and fridge. There are a couple in building amenities such as a decent apartment* gym, a yoga room, and club room.

The biggest issue is who ever renovated the building seemingly made the walls out of tissue paper because... sound very easily travels from unit to unit, unit to hall, etc. You can straight up here other people's conversations at a normal volume, hear their televisions or video games or music. At some points it is quite annoying especially since these are quite nice units, yet your space can be ruined by your neighbors and literally any sound they make (to not really any fault of their own). If the walls were actually better at sound dampening, these would 100% be a 5/5 stars.

Moving into & now living at American Electric Lofts, has far exceeded my expectations!!
This property offers a charming, fun, & safe environment.
I’m thoroughly impressed with the consistent cleanliness, & maintenance of the property.
The hallways always smell freshly cleaned, & smoke free!!
I love that I made the decision, to leave a suburban lifestyle, for down living. This area is a perfect work/life balance for me.
Lastly, working with Faith, & McKenna during my move-in process, was... completely seamless.
They both were very kind, informative, & professional.

My partner and I lived here for just over a year and we really enjoyed our time there. The manager for the building (Faith) was fantastic! She is warm and friendly. Living in a large apartment building comes with challenges but the building manager and the entire staff addressed our concerns and did so with a great deal of professionalism and respect. The building is very pet friendly and the tenants that we interacted with were all very polite.

Looks great on outside, but if you live here what you'll find is that the lovely amenities you've paid for are garbage design, break, and management will just pass the buck on you, refuse to fix, and you're left with garbage that doesn't work. Management is great at creating last minute paperwork and conveniently at the same time putting in errors in it trying to get you to sign something you shouldn't. Management does not fix issues. They love passing the buck and sitting on their tails doing nothing. They are great at coming up with "last minute" paperwork that they magically find improperly done close to a year ago and they did this themselves. They expect your insurance company to modify the way THEY do business to suit their needs. I've literally had to be in their office because of one of their mandatory, due by end of the day paperwork that they keep putting errors in so you shouldn't... sign it.
