Monte Carlo Apartments

We booked a tour here a couple weeks ago, and right off the bat, it was a struggled to even get a confirmation for my tour. I texted Challene, the property manager repeatedly with no response. Had to call her finally the day of the tour and she says "yeah I have you down for 11" so i dont know why it was impossible for her to just text me back that, that was the time we were scheduled for. so we arrived for the tour and i called her to let her know we were there, as she requested. and she has… the maintenance man come out and bring us to the apartment. he waited on the steps outside, so my partner and i were basically alone for the tour. couldnt really ask questions and got zero information, literally just walked around by ourselves until we guessed that it was time to leave. the apartment itself was uninviting. it was small, with harsh lighting and a very unwelcoming vibe. the pics in the listing felt cozy and comfy, but that was not the case in person. the floors are also very squeaky. no matter where you stand, it squeaks with every movement. and btw could definitely tell the previous tenant had a cat. we agreed to see the apartment, knowing it hadnt been cleaned yet and that was fine, but it had a strong cat pee smell. (which, why say the apt is available immediately if it isnt actually ready, and youre gonna show us a totally different apartment that still needed to be cleaned? idk but thats the least of my concerns) also when it says "laundry hookups" that means there is laundry facilities in the basement. not in the unit like they want you to believe. i dont know, it mightve been better if the property manager had actually been present for the tour, or literally anyone but the poor maintenance man who probably had other jobs to do. but we are very glad we kept looking Read More
