This place is for you!! The smoking policy is not enforced. If cigarette smoke makes you sick, this is not the place for you. Add in the vandalism in the neighborhood, 1 star.

We are an active-duty Air Force family that received orders to the Biloxi area. Like many other military families moving from to a new area from another state, we must trust online searches while looking for a new place to live. Unable to buy at this time, we looked for an apartment. Search results led us to The Grove. Online this place looked like an ideal place to live. Please don’t be fooled like we were. We tried to visit in person but were told that there were no available apartments to... tour before move in. Move in day arrives. We were shocked when we walked in. The place had not been cleaned. Food was in the carpet, dirt stains in the tubs, and toothpaste in the sinks. This was just the start. Looking closer, black mold was growing in multiple places through out the apartment. Rat holes in many places. The floor in the bathroom was peeling up showing obvious water damage along with layers of past flooring. I was told when keys were picked up that one of the toilets didn’t flush and would be fixed. During the month we were there, no one ever came to fix the toilet. Smoke detectors were either missing or disconnected, never fixed even after being told that they would be. We notified the office that we were giving our 30 days’ notice to move out due to the unsafe living conditions. The manager seemed nice and wanted to come by with maintenance to attempt to make things right. They stopped by the same day. The maintenance guys were laughing, making jokes and snarky comments the entire time I was voicing my concerns to the manager. Nothing was done to repair any of the problems in the apartment. This was the absolute worst place I have ever lived. Management does not care. Maintenance is a joke! Their website is 100% false advertisement. The pictures show updated beautiful apartments. This couldn’t be further from the truth. They advertise a clean pool with a hot tub. The pool is not kept clean, and the hot tub is concreted over. I moved into this property in March 2021 and even though it was older, I really liked the location and layout of the units. Within the first day of moving in, I found fleas on the floor in my first floor unit, I did not have any pets. After alerting the property manager, it was sprayed. I did not stay in the unit and when I came back and continued vacuuming, I was still vacuuming up live fleas. I alerted the manager again and it was sprayed again, much heavier.

After I returned to the unit... again, I was still vacuuming up live fleas. At this time I told the property manager that I would be terminating my lease. I was less than 30 days into the lease, stayed overnight less than 5 nights and gave 30 days notice. I still was required to pay the termination fee even though the property was not suitable to rent.

I see all these negative reviews and I just think I haven’t had any problems. The people in the office are always nice. I know all my neighbors and don’t have any problems. My apartment is really nice and afford for the area. I spend hours in my garden tub. The police that are security officers help keep us safe . This actually one of only an apartment that I lived in that I felt safe and it was safe enough for my kids to play out side.
