Disappointed
I have been living at The Lodge Apartments for some time now, and honestly, my experience has been frustrating. Since July 1st, I have been reporting problems with the bathtub, as the water rises and doesn’t drain, and to this day, no solution has been provided.
Communication with the staff has also been disappointing. On one occasion, Mrs. Lea yelled at me in front of my children. I politely asked her to lower her voice because the kids were present, and she responded that “she speaks loudly.”... That behavior was completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
I also asked if there was a possibility to move to another apartment, and Melissa told me the only available two-bedroom unit had a “destroyed” pipe. However, shortly after, I saw two-bedroom apartments being advertised, which caused confusion and distrust regarding the information I was given.
We have also faced other serious issues. My husband’s car was stolen within the complex; the police came to the office, and they said the security cameras were not working. The kitchen light frequently goes out, and the worker who used to come would just enter and tap it to turn it back on. Now, when it goes out, I have to turn off the switch, wait for it to blink, and then try turning it back on.
On one occasion, Melissa noticed on her own that the toilet water was constantly moving, which increases the water consumption. She took note of it and told me they would fix it, but they never did. Outside the building, there is a large hole where birds get in and make nests, and they have not repaired that either.
I could list more issues, but I believe this gives an idea of what living here has been like. This place has potential, but management urgently needs to improve maintenance, security, and how they treat residents.
