Mountaineer Village

Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Moving into Mountaineer Village has been one of the worst housing decisions I’ve made, and I highly encourage others not to live here.

The management here is completely incompetent and disorganized. They decided to push through massive renovations while residents were actively living in the units. Dealing with the constant noise, dust, construction chaos, and lack of privacy in my own home has been an absolute nightmare. Management clearly prioritizes... cosmetic flips over the actual well-being and peace of current tenants.

To make matters worse, their pricing practices are incredibly shady and inconsistent. There is zero transparency. I found out that some people are getting slapped with significantly higher prices, while others are being offered much lower rent for the exact same setups. It feels like they are just making up numbers and trying to exploit whoever they can.

Between the terrible management, living in a never-ending construction zone, and getting ripped off on rent, this place is absolutely not worth it. Save yourself the headache and find a complex that actually respects its residents. Read More

I feel future tenants deserve transparency about living through renovations at Mountaineer Village.

Residents were required to remain in their apartments during multi-day construction involving flooring, paint, countertops, cabinets, and appliances, with contractors inside units from 8 AM–6 PM. Before work began, we were told disruptions would be minimized and apartments would remain fully livable.

That has not been my experience. After the first day, my apartment was covered in dust, nails... were left inside cabinets, and there was a strong construction/caulk smell throughout the unit. Communication has also been inconsistent at times, including being told to “watch a YouTube video” when asking if appliances were safe to use.

I understand updates and replacements are necessary, but the gap between what was communicated and what residents are experiencing has been frustrating. If you’re considering living here, document everything and ask very detailed questions before signing. Read More

This apartment complex has so many amenities plus they do a ton of resident events and giveaways. The office staff is super friendly and they are pets. The dog park is huge too

I love love love Mountaineer Village! After living at another complex in Boone, finding out about this place was literally like a dream come true. Our rooms are so spacious and finally having a ton of storage is soooo nice. Definitely has the best parking in town, and there are always fun events and things going on!!! Considering that a lot of the big name complexes in town frankly SUCK and have awful management, this is such a gem. The girlies at the office are so sweet and understanding and... they really listen to feedback! The maintenance staff are also literally the best and love pets too so that's a bonus! Had an appointment to tour the apartment at 1. Waited a WHOLE hour and no one showed up. Was really considering living here but I guess not being the office cannot seem to get their crap together!
