Thin walls, loud neighbors, and unresponsive management
The noise is unbearable. The walls and ceilings are incredibly thin. I can hear my neighbors' conversations clearly, even the dial tone when they're making a phone call. Every time they drop something — which happens a lot — it sounds like it's in my own apartment. I don't even blame them for all of it because the building just does not block normal daily noise.
On top of that, my upstairs neighbor can be extremely inconsiderate. I have been woken up several times at 2 AM by loud arguing and at... 4 AM by their dog running around. If the building can't block out simple everyday noise, imagine how awful it sounds when they are running, screaming, or yelling. I have reported the noise to management several times, and they have done absolutely nothing to address it.
The only pro is the location, but there are several other apartment buildings within walking distance, so even that is not unique enough to make up for everything else.
The building was constructed in 2007, so I expected better quality. The lack of consideration from neighbors, the poor quality of the building's structure, and the complete lack of response from management have been incredibly disappointing. If you value sleep or enjoyment of your space, I would strongly recommend looking at one of the other nearby buildings instead.
