Mold
I moved into this apartment complex expecting a safe and functional living space, but my experience has been extremely frustrating from start to finish.
Before transferring units, I dealt with ongoing mold concerns in my previous apartment for almost 8 months. Despite reporting it multiple times, the issue was never properly resolved. I even used at-home petri dishes, which showed significant mold growth after being left in the unit. I did this in order to prove there was a mold issue in the... HVAC and try to get something done to fix it. Especially since I have a 4-week-old baby. Eventually, I was transferred to a different unit.
Unfortunately, the new unit has been in unacceptable condition since move-in. Upon arrival, I found:
-No hot water
-No dishwasher
-No washer and dryer (despite paying extra for these amenities)
-Missing light fixtures
-A non-working ice maker
-A sink with no drain line, causing water to spill every time it’s used
-A laundry room door that fell off
-A storage door that barely closes
-A Bedroom door that is missing a hinge
I was told these issues would be fixed by Monday by both the property manager and Assistant property manager multiple times. Yet that deadline passed with no resolution other than someone coming by to hit the reset button inside the water heater. Due to the amount of repairs having to be done I took the day off work since I was insured repairs would be completed by Monday and almost nothing was completed. This has all around been extremely frustrating and ridicules to say the least.
