Noise and Excessive Extra Fees
This is a decent apartment complex, but it suffers from some of problems that new construction tends to suffer. For starters, every unit is a rushed build with plenty of rough finishes, crooked light switches, dysfunctional appliances, etc. On top of that, they've been doing active construction on the unfinished building for the entire 6 months that I've been here. Construction starts as early as 7am, and the leasing office will not push them to start later. The noise is enough to wake up anyone... . Along with this, random fire alarms are frequent despite no fire. There is also large metal gates that slam shut every time someone enters your building. I live on the top floor and I find myself being woken up by a slamming gate 1-3 times a week. Finally, their mandatory fees are quite excessive. For example, we have to pay $35 dollars a month for a valet trash service that only takes one bag of trash that has to fit inside of the trash can they give you, and if you have recyclables, you have to buy your own clear or blue bags to put them in otherwise they will not take them. The valet trash service only comes 5 days a week and they arrive as late as 9pm, banging around a trash can up and down the hall. You cannot opt out of this service. This is not a quiet apartment complex whatsoever; I would compare it living in the middle of downtown. Other than that, the management team is attentive and tries to do the best they can with the circumstances their owners have put them in.
