The Summit at Avent Ferry is an apartment community in Raleigh, NC
The place is rotting and falling apart. It also has a lot of problems with cockroaches and other insects. The business also messes with your credit without warning. Avoid these guys and rent somewhere else.

Poor management and communication. Consistent closure of amenities
Been living here for four years and it’s been pretty solid. Recently new management has come in and they have been utterly incompetent in regards to repairs. They decided to do pool maintenance two weeks before memorial day. Poole didn’t open until well into the season.
Recently, they had the bright idea to close the gym right before new years. Initially they planned to open before February 1st. They were very uncommunicative during this time. Consistently they send out email saying it would... be open on X day, the gym would still be closed on that day without any follow-up.
I emailed management multiple times, called them several times as well, requesting for some form of compensation. Management never responded to any of my emails, nor return any of my left voicemails.
If amenities or something you care about do not choose this as a place to stay. I’m sure management will be communicative when you start looking at signing a lease, however, once you sign the leave you in the dark.

Yikes
Please do not live here. I moved in for grad school in 2018 because the rent was affordable but ever year since not only have they increased our rent substantially, but the new management is flat out terrible. They will not take care of emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner and will blow off residents who bring up concerns. Our upstairs neighbors water heater burst and it has been three weeks since that and the only action that has been taken by them was to repaint one of the three... ceilings had significant damage. Even to get them to do that required DAILY phone calls, emails, and follow ups. They will tell you a date when someone is supposed to come but then no one will show up. They seem irritated to have to be dealing with residents, but they’ll pay us to try and lure other chumps into living here. They double charge for trash and pest control above what is mentioned in the legal agreement (lease) that we sign and cannot give an explanation as to why beyond it is a required fee. I have more reasons to not live here but at the risk of turning into a manifesto I will digress. 0/10 recommend.
