NOVA Apartments

I’ve only lived at NOVA for a little over a month, but unfortunately my experience has been very disappointing so far. If I could go back, I would not live here.

NOVA is continuing to advertise amenities that are not actually available to residents. The fitness center, which was a factor in my decision to lease here, was completely empty when I moved in. Over a month later, it is still non-existent entirely. When asked, management says they have "no estimate" on when it will be done. The trash… chutes have also been non-functional for my entire time living here. All of this with no rent credit offered for unavailable amenities that are advertised online

For a "luxury" apartment, there are a lot of things that have been constructed very poorly. There are gaps between base boards and the floor, crooked drawers, and paint smudges on the trims all over the apartment. There are also noticeable signs that construction and finishing work were not completed before move-in. The windows have major smudges and caulk residue on them from construction that have remained since I moved in.

Parking has been another major issue. Before signing my lease, I specifically discussed parking and was told there would be perimeter parking available and that a parking garage was expected around my move-in. Instead, the main perimeter parking has been unavailable due to construction for over a month, with very limited updates or alternative solutions for residents. If arriving home past 3 pm, there is likely no parking available within a 7 minute walk of the building.

Most concerning, I have experienced persistent insects throughout my apartment since just days after moving in. I have also seen what appear to be the same insects in common areas on the opposite side of the building, raising concerns that this may be more than an isolated unit issue. Read More
