673 South St, Portsmouth, NH 03801

The South Common Condominiums consists of three buildings at 673, 675 and 677 South Street in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. It was built as three apartment... buildings in approximately 1935 and renovated into condominiums in approximately1985-86. We have owned it since it was renovated into 15 condominiums.

Unit 1 is located on the first floor of 673 South Street which is on the corner of Miller and South Streets. There is a basement with two units below and two units each on the first and second floors. Unit 1 is the front corner unit on the first floor. The rear entry at the basement level is the most common entry as it goes out to the parking lot. It has a digital lock.

Unit 1 is 800 square feet and has four rooms. The front is the living room. Next is the kitchen with dishwasher (but the laundry is in the basement of 675 South Street). After that there is the small bedroom/office area, and then, the master bedroom is in the back. (See Building Layout).

The rent is $2600 per month with a $2600 security deposit. Tenant pays for utility costs including water/sewer, electricity (utility and hot water), and natural gas that is piped into the building. All are billed directly to the tenant. The advantage of being on the first floor is that there are living units above and below that helps control heating costs. A one-year lease is mandated by the Association.

There is one designated parking space in the parking lot behind the buildings. Additional parking can be rented from the Association. I believe the spaces rent for $50 per month. Read More
